Captive Man – Adam - Elm 1989. Available
Captive Man – Adam – Elm 1989
It is a figure bound by the constraints of natural form whether in the literary sense or the physical sense of a specific slice of unpolished, naturally preserved elm.  Adam, the generic male, is shown feeling the weight of responsibilities with which society shackles him.  Despite modern attempts to even the balance between the sexes, a man is still expected to be in full control of his emotions and, especially, mask any pain he feels.
